Tribute from Nieces and Nephews

"For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing."
2 Timothy 4: 6-8

It is with great pride and deep respect that we pay our Uncle a well-deserved tribute. We are proud and very fortunate to have you as our uncle, you inspire us, we thank you for correcting us whenever we go wrong. We love you as you first loved us from infancy, your love has stayed with us and shall always be fresh in our minds.

It is often said that days and moments are quickly flying. Blending the living with the dead and soon our bodies will be lying each within its narrow bed. Uncle, you have been our fellow helper in all emergencies. Anytime we are subjected to ill treatment you instantly run to the rescue.

Now to the hour, when we must say goodbye as you are taking leave of us. Let every man know that there is a final call which no one can resist and even after we have enjoyed ourselves in luxurious and self-indulgencies, we must surely know that the glories of our Blood and state are mere shadows, not substantial things.

There is no amour against fate, that is why death can lay its icy hands even on kings. The scepters and crowns are thrumbled down and in the dust be equally made with a poor crooked scythe and spade.

Jesus our infinite redeemer you are the maker of the mighty frame. Teach, o teach us to remember what we are and when we come.

Uncle Ben, May your Precious soul rest in perfect peace with our maker. Till we meet again.
