Tribute from Siblings

We understand that mourning is not a sign of lost love, but rather of love that endures through our shared memories and tales we will tell the next generation.

We have gathered here today in memory of our beloved brother, Benjamin Bortier Ninepence affectionately called “Archer” whose unexpected death can only be perceived through the lens of eternity. Ben, as we usual calls him stood out for his generosity and love.

From our early years and through the challenges we have encountered together, Ben has consistently been a companion, confidant and protector. His contagious laughter brightened even the gloomiest days. Whether it was his quick wit or the warmth of kindness, he had a special knack of making ordinary situations remarkable. He helped us understand the value of resilience by demonstrating to us that it is more important to get back up after falling than it is to fall.

Ben was more than just a sibling; as a brother, he was a beacon of light. His life reminded us that anything is achievable with dedication and handwork. A good listener who is prepared to share his advice and suggestions. His respect for all especially the elderly and traditions/culture is remarkable. Ben will always insist on hearing the suggestion of his “senior” siblings or the elderly before he will share his thought.

For Benjamin, excellence was a way of life, not just a goal. always inspired to reach new heights and diligently completed all tasks given to them. He was a man of honesty and integrity who was well respected for his firmness and refusal to bend the rules.

His life’s trajectory was dictated by morality and standards. He lived by the established system and behaved in an ethnic manner, not merely talking about values. For majority of culture loves, his adherence to tradition served as a sign of shared values.

Benjamin was an open and friendly soul who was a brother whose generosity impacted everyone he encountered. His generosity had no limits. He was always there to provide a helping hand to people in need and to listen to people who were feeling lost. His life taught us the true meaning of giving and compassion.

Even though your absence breaks our hearts, we take solace in the fact that your soul endures in the memories we have of each other and the unselfish love you showed us. We will always treasure our relationship and will always hold you dear in our hearts.

The earth would sing your name, “Archer”, but heaven will be waiting for your soul when it rises.

So today, let us celebrate our brother—a true hero in the lives of so many. May his memory continue to inspire us all to live boldly, love deeply, and cherish every moment.

Rest well Ben, Yaa Wɔ Jogbann
